A focused check for Shopify product CSVs
Catch a missing option before a CSV update.
Review selected structural and variant-field problems in a local report. Keep the decision about your catalogue in your hands.
No account or store access. This demo accepts supplied examples only.
Partial checks, not import approval. No store connection, automatic repair or guarantee of Shopify acceptance. Keep a backup and review a small test import separately.
See what a finding can tell you.
- Open the demo and choose Missing options example.
- Leave Update existing products selected and press Review CSV.
- Read the
VARIANT_DEPENDENCYfinding. Decide whether it would change your next action.
Also compare the clean and problem samples. A warning is a review question: repeated SKUs, for example, can be intentional.
The demo cannot establish reliability on your own files. It has no own-file input or report export.

A small file you can keep and run locally.
The proposed package contains the offline HTML checker, synthetic examples and a short quick-start guide. It needs no installation, Shopify app access or paid API.
| Task | Sample demo | Proposed package |
|---|---|---|
| Review supplied examples | Yes | Yes |
| Read your own UTF-8 CSV locally | No | Yes |
| Export HTML / CSV findings | No | Yes |
| Connect, repair or import to a store | No | No |
A second look at a file, within a defined scope.
What does the checker inspect?
CSV quoting and row widths, selected current and legacy headers, some missing-option risks, price formats, duplicate SKUs and option combinations, and image URL syntax. Unknown columns are marked as unchecked. Image addresses are not visited.
What remains unchecked?
Existing store data, whether a handle identifies the right product, image availability, metafields, Markets, inventory locations, category rules, app dependencies and actual Shopify import behaviour. No findings means only that the implemented checks found no issue.
Compare with Shopify's official CSV guidance before making an import decision.
Which files and browsers are supported?
The pilot accepts UTF-8 comma-separated CSV, up to 5 MiB, 20,000 data records and 256 columns. It records up to 1,000 findings and displays the first 200. Desktop Chrome on Windows has been tested. Other browsers and mobile operation have not been verified; a narrow-screen layout check is not a mobile-device test.
What happens to data?
This demo uses built-in synthetic examples and does not accept uploads of your files. Sample analysis runs in your browser. We do not add forms, advertising trackers or analytics scripts to this site. The proposed pilot reads your selected file in browser memory without uploading it, fetching images or accessing a store.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical information about visits, which may include IP addresses and request metadata, to provide and protect its services. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details. Browser history and saved downloads are controlled by your browser and device. Never share customer data, store credentials or a full catalogue for feedback.
Can I buy it or try it on my own CSV?
Checkout is inactive. The pilot with own-file input is an internal evaluation build and is not included in this demo site. A separate, authorized evaluation delivery would be needed to test a file of your own. Seller identity, final licence, purchase terms, support and applicable consumer rights must be resolved before sales.
04 / ASSESS THE RESULT
Would you pay for this particular report?
This first test is for merchants who personally prepared at least two Shopify product CSVs in the last 90 days, or freelancers with at least one Shopify CSV assignment in that period.
After trying an example, use the prompts alongside. A “yes” is a statement of interest, not an order. Testing synthetic data measures your assessment of the example, not compatibility with your catalogue.
Feedback collection is not open. When an approved discussion exists, its link can be added here. This page has no submission form and does not send your answers.
