VARIANT / PREFLIGHTLOCAL FILES · NO UPLOADS

PILOT · VERSION 0.1

Inspect before you import.

A focused review of product CSV structure and variant risks for Shopify merchants. See the row, understand the finding, keep your catalog on your device.

Partial checks, not import approval. This tool cannot inspect your store or guarantee an import is safe. Export a backup and test a small batch in Shopify before importing. Independent tool; no Shopify affiliation.

1. Choose a CSV

Open a UTF-8, comma-separated product CSV or paste it below. Maximum 5 MiB and 20,000 data records. Your original file stays unchanged.

Read on this device. No network requests, accounts, cookies or storage.

Choose a sample to see how the review works.

2. Review the findings

Errors need review; warnings need context. A report with no findings still has unchecked areas.

Findings use the physical starting line of each CSV record, including quoted multiline fields.

Reports can include product identifiers. Treat them as business data.

What this pilot checks

CSV quoting and row widths; supported current and legacy headers; selected missing-option risks; duplicate option combinations and SKU warnings; basic price and image URL syntax. Unknown columns are called out as unchecked.

What it cannot check

Existing store data, whether handles match the right product, live image availability, metafields, Markets, inventory locations, category rules, app dependencies and actual Shopify import behavior. It does not fix or upload CSV files. It is not a backup.
